John Poremba passed from life to Life this past Friday, in the early afternoon. He was sedated so he would not suffer. He fought the good fight. We obeyed the Lord. We prayed until John was raised either to life here with us, or LIFE in Heaven with our Precious Lord and Saviour, Jesus, the Eternal Son of God.

We will miss him, and we will rejoice with him.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday (Aug 23) at 3:00 pm in our sanctuary. His body was cremated. Such a beautiful man of God.

Praying for John Poremba

I’ve been praying a lot of the night for John Poremba. Do I need to go to him and pray? It wouldn’t hurt. Jesus, please raise John up that he might Live and not die. Please, Lord. Please. My motives may not be the best – I don’t want John to die like Becky did. Is it time for John to die? Is his sickness a sickness unto death?

No, Nancy, this is not a sickness unto death. Keep praying. It is my will that all should live and not die. However, there comes a time in this world that even my people will die, even before their time, but as I told you in the Book of John, even if John dies, he will yet live. Pray your heart for him, Nancy. Pray your heart for him. No condemnation. Just keep praying until he is either lifted up to live, or lifted up to come live with Me in Heaven. Keep praying. OK, Lord. My heart will keep praying.

Unity is the theme I see today in Joel 2.

The Lord God sends Judgment and the judgment army He leads works in unity of purpose. He asks that His People repent, and He gives the instructions for repentance which require unity, unity of heart and purpose, unity of the community.

Nancy and Courtney leave 3 weeks from today for the annual Party With the Gypsies in Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey with Global Celebration!

Healing

Sunday morning, I received prayer after the service for arthritis symptoms and pain. Sunday afternoon I was still hurting, and when I told my friend, she prayed. Later, I realized that I was asking for and receiving prayer without REALLY believing that anything would happen. I repented for my unbelief. Today I have been almost totally pain-free!! Thank You, Jesus!! This evening I have had twinges of pain and have refused both the pain and the cause of the pain. I desire to keep this healing, so I am standing in faith in the LORD our Healer. I choose to trust Jesus, who never lies.
