Welcome!

Looking…
for a place where questions are welcomed, personal agendas set aside, and friends new and old gather to touch His heart? Then come visit the Vineyard by the Deep Creekâeither here online or at our cozy setting in the Deep Creek section of Chesapeake, Virginia.
You’d probably need to drop by a few times to really get the picture, but when we say a “participatory” church, we really mean it. We’re thoroughly part of the Vineyard tradition: casual in our format but very intentional about creating an environment for embracing and experiencing the reality of God’s kingdom in the here and now. As one in our family said, there’s not much room for “expectating” — coming to church expecting to be a spectator!
How are we different?
You won’t find any superstars here. We’re led by a team of elders who share responsibility for the care of our fellowship and that is reflected in how we meet. On a typical sunday, perhaps 10-15 people will share what the Lord has put on their heart, or a story, or a song, or a prayer. Don’t be surprised if you see kidz leading in worship. Making room for our young people to actively take part in our gatherings has been central to our mission for many years.
And it’s no accident that you’ll find a table at the center of our gatherings, whether we’re meeting in our homes, at a restaurant or on Sundays. Because that’s how we see Christ and the reality of our lives in Him and in His kingdom. He has graciously given us a place at His table. It may seem a bit less organized than other church settings, but like your family table, there’s always
something fresh happening, and there’s always room for one more.
Note: this site uses Snapshots so we suggest you enable popups for best viewing.
